What shampoo is good for making your hair shiny and strong?

My hair doesnt shine and looks kind of dead even though it doesnt feel that way

Is there a way to get it to look like those girls on the commercials or is it just a far fetched dream?

ThanksWhat shampoo is good for making your hair shiny and strong?
One way to get your hair shiny when you rinse your hair after conditioning it, rinse it with cold water. This will work trust me.

Garnier Fructis sleek and shine shampoo is really good. They also have a shine spray that I like too.

Also: DON'T use Patene Pro-V products. Trust me, ask any stylist and they will tell you that's one of the first things they teach you in cosmetology school. It does make your hair shiny BUT in the process strips your hair from all the proteins it needs. Trust me, don't use it!What shampoo is good for making your hair shiny and strong?
Shiny hair is attainable, using the proper tools and products. Shampoos are meant to cleanse the ';scalp'; and conditioners are meant to condition the ';hair.';

There are many great products on the shelves today that enhance your hair type. But it is best to look for a ';gloss spray'; or ';serum'; to help add shine during and after styling. Another fantastic way to add shine using your body's natural moisturisers is brushing. Using a boar bristle paddle brush, brush your hair from root to end. The natural bristles lift the oils from your scalp and let them travel to the ends of your hair where is usually the most dry. Brushing is one of the best things you can do to maintain a healthy scalp and hair, alongside shampoo and conditioning.

Garnier Fructis range is good for daily use.

Also try Hair masks, or a home receipe is putting olive oil in your hair and letting it sit for a half hour before washing your hair.

To be fair though, it's impossible to be like the girls in the commercials (almost) because you have to bear in mind they loads of stylists and all on the shoots, and they retouch the hair all the time to have it perfect in the shot, you know?
two things -

first) Repair your diet. Make intelligent food choices. Eat water-bearing or wet foods as much as possible. Fresh beef is better than beef jerky. Fresh fruit is better than dehydrated fruit. Any non-processed food is better than a processed. If it isn't food, don't eat it (Cheetos and Hot Pockets are not foods).

second) Spend less effort processing your hair. You'll have to try it yourself to believe it, but don't put any shampoo/conditioner on you hair for six weeks. Simply rinse well under warm water - you'll be shocked at the results. Afterwards, only use a high quality conditioner to make your hair extra soft and shiny when you're showering before a special event where you need to look your best.

Good luck
I used to have the same problem but then I got some shampoo from Bath and Body Works. First I got the warm vanilla sugar shampoo and conditioner and it worked miracles. Then I also tried the sweet iced tea and it works great too. The iced tea shampoo is also bubble bath and body wash. It also smells FANTASTIC and leaves your hair feeling insanely good and everyone wants to smell and touch your hair.
hey...a lot of girls have that problem ...i did to but not anymore.....

First, go to the salon and get the dead ends trimmed. Then use Pantine ProV Ice Shine, or Dove! It works so well. Rinse in cool water to produce shine. Blow dry your hair when its about 60 percent dry, and turn down the heat on your styling products. This will keep it from getting damaged.
I use pantene,herbal essence,l'oreal paris,garneir
you should use a really good shampoo from the make schwarzkopf.. it has protien energy and adds life to your har which will make it really shiny and soft
pantene ice shine shampoo and conditioner really works.
Shampoo can't make your hair shiny or strong. Being healthy and having a good diet will do more for your hair.
Aveda or Kerastase
i use garnier fructice (sry-bad spelling) and it works great. then i put in my hair pantene proV leave-in protector
Tresemme salon silk
pantene products r really effective!
I love Pantene, try it.
Trying to look like the girls in shampoo ads is probably a far fetched dream as they've all been digitally enhanced.

However, as someone that has tried almost every product and remedy known to woman, here are a few things that I've learned.

For starters, avoid any shampoo that contains the chemical sodium laureth sulfate or any of it derivatives. It's used as a detergent and foaming agent in many shampoos (even including high end brands). It is cheap and effective when it comes to cleaning, but unfortunately it can also have the effect of stripping hair of all it's moisture. Two shampoos that I find did not strip my hair were Jason Natural Biotin Shampoo as well as Burt's Bees. I've included the links below, but you can also buy them at Whole Foods or most drug stores.

I find that almost any condioner is alright as long as I'm not laying waste to my hair with drying shampoos. I find any conditionor with a relatively thick consitancy will do the trick. At the moment, my favorite is Aussie 3 Minute Miracle or S Factor Smoothing Conditioner.

If you process your hair by blow drying or straightening I would suggest that you also purchase a spray that will coat hair strands to protect it from heat. I use Matrix iron smoother although most salons (and some drug stores) tend to carry something similar.

A balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin B and D will also give your hair a healthy glow (as well as you skin and nails!) Try and eat a wide variety fruits and vegetables as well as lean meats and dairy products. As added insurance also take a quality multi-vitamin. The rest of your body will thank you too :)
